HE WILL MAKE A FIRM COVENANT

Secretary of State John  Kerry Addresses AJC Global Forum on Middle East Peace

June 4, 2013 – Washington — Secretary of State John  Kerry, addressing AJC’s Global Forum, set forth his vision for ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, essential to guaranteeing Israel’s long-term security.

But, while pointing out that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict “is not the cause of problems in the Middle East,” Kerry emphasized repeatedly that “the best way to truly ensure Israel’s security, today and for future generations, is by ending once and for all the conflict with the Palestinians.”

The goal, he said, is to reach “a negotiated resolution that results in two states for two peoples, each able to fulfill their legitimate national aspirations in a homeland of their own.”

In his first address to a Jewish audience since he became Secretary of State, Kerry stressed the urgency of reaching a two-state solution. “If we do not succeed now,” he said, “we may never get another chance.”

John  Kerry’s fiery remarks stressed the “Now or Never” warning for a “negotiated resolution for a two states and two people” agreement.

If he succeeded in coercing the Israelites to sign the agreement, please be informed that we are seeing the  “the mystery of lawlessness at work…”[2 Thessalonians 2:7a]

The plan or the agenda of the Antichrist are gradually being executed.

The “man of lawlessness” or Anti-Messiah or Anti-Christ is restrained until the time is right.

Daniel 9: Seventy Weeks and the Messiah

[24] “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.

[25] So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress.

Continuing Daniel 9:

[26] Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolation are determined.

[27] “And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

Note: Verse 25 mentioned the words “Messiah the Prince” which in turn refer to the Lord Jesus  Messiah who came into the world as a Prince, not as the King from the lineage of king David as the Jews expected Him to be. He then was crucified sixty two years after the Jews came back from their exile to Babylon.

In verse 26 above, we are told that “the people of the prince” will destroy the city of Jerusalem and desecrate the sanctuary (the Holy of Holies) of the “Third” temple, which is yet to be built.
